Hooksherrgård Restaurang Kök 5

Policy special diet

Do you need special dietary options?

There are four reasons why we at Hooks Herrgård have a developed and clear special dietary policy.

1. We want to provide all guests with a wonderful dining experience with high food quality - regardless of whether they have special dietary needs or not
2. We want to avoid causing harm by serving food that the guest cannot tolerate
3. Sustainability. We aim to reduce food waste through structured efforts - which can be an increased risk factor with special diets
4. We want to provide high service and offer guests the opportunity to choose whatever they prefer - but requests beyond a certain basic level will come at a cost

Definition of special dietary options:

All food that has been changed/adjusted in relation to the food that is served

1. AT BOOKING

In our booking terms, it is stated what applies regarding special diets. In short, we are happy to say YES to everything - but that special dietary requests beyond the basic level come at an extra cost.

As a guest/customer, you choose which level of service regarding special diets you wish for your conference or group booking.

SPECIAL DIET BASIC LEVEL - INCLUDED

• 100% plant-based (commonly known as vegan)

• Lacto-, ovo-vegetarian (commonly known as vegetarian)

• Medical special diets (food allergens) such as gluten, milk, etc. (a total of 14 allergens)

• Cultural special diets (food choices based on region/culture) e.g. pork

• Pregnancy diet

SPECIAL DIET EXTRA

The following special diets are charged an additional +25% of the menu price

• Allergies beyond the 14 allergens (if required)

• Personal preferences and lifestyle diets (e.g. LCHF, GI, Keto)

• Complicated allergies such as onion and multiple allergies

Medical and cultural diets (excluding fish and meat) are normally replaced with vegan food.

Unfortunately, we have no ability to accommodate airborne allergies.

We have nothing against a guest with extremely specific dietary needs that cannot be met by us bringing their own food to the restaurant. The menu price remains as a service fee.

2. 14 DAYS BEFORE THE EVENT

At least 14 days before arrival, we need to receive special diet lists from the guests in writing. See the template for special diets here.

Our goal is always to be flexible and service-oriented - but with late reported special diets or late changes, Hooks Herrgård reserves the right to charge extra based on increased costs.

If our three-course conference menu is served, Hooks Herrgård will take the special diet list into account when preparing the menu. Of course, this is in combination with the wishes of the host/organizer.

3. DURING THE STAY

When guests have seated themselves, we always check if anyone has special diets at the table. When we serve the starter and main course, our ambition is for those with special diets to receive their food at the same time as the other guests. When we serve dessert (and in certain other cases), we always serve the special diets first.

The table responsible staff is in charge of guests with special diets at their own tables. If a guest accidentally receives the wrong food, the maître d' and the final customer should be informed immediately. Hooks Herrgård is responsible for taking appropriate measures.

4. AFTER THE STAY

In connection with the invoice, details regarding charges for special diet management will be provided. The costs that may occur/add are:

• Special diet costs beyond the base level, +25 %
• Late submitted special diets or late changes, +100%
• Deviations from pre-ordered special diets (i.e., leftover special food because those who ordered special diets ate regular food instead), +100%
