Future

We are investing in the future

The great spa transformation

Construction has now begun on Hooks Herrgård Spa & Fitness – a transformation that will take the spa experience to a whole new level. In 2028, our new spa will be completed with 2000 square meters of additional areas for rest and relaxation, hot and cold springs, sauna experiences, orangery, larger changing rooms, and better space for food, drinks, and serving, as well as a possible surprise.

New yoga room & terrace with lake view

On the roof, a large yoga and relaxation room has been built next to the gym, where you will also have access to a large yoga terrace with a magical view over Hokasjön.

New, exclusive hotel rooms

In connection with the next expansion, all hotel rooms in Strandstugan will be removed to make way for 28 new, exclusive hotel rooms adjacent to the expansion.

A transformation in different stages

The expansion will take place in different phases starting as early as August 2025.

The first phase, which includes larger changing rooms, a winter garden, yoga and relaxation rooms, a yoga terrace, storage, and offices, was completed in the spring of 2026. Planning for a larger expansion of the spa and new hotel rooms is now underway. Everything is to be completed by 2028.

Phase 1 opened spring 2026

  • The ladies' locker room has been expanded with an additional 50 lockers and an extra shower room with 5 new showers. A temporary storage room is being built for storage and a new office

  • Barbros Roséträdgård - a new winter garden has emerged between the spa and the restaurant. 75 sqm light therapy with 35-40 seats, bar, dishroom & better opportunities for food, drinks & service

  • The yoga studio, Lotus, is now located next to the gym on the upper floor. Lotus is used as a place for recovery and rest when there are no classes in the space and when the weather permits, the yoga class moves to Utsikten, a beautiful rooftop terrace with a magical view of Hokasjön

  • Next to Lotus is our Andrum, a place of silence

Previous Investments in Recent Years

In recent years, a lot has happened at Hooks Herrgård. The new kitchen and the expansion of the restaurant in the Herrgård and all hotel rooms in the Herrgård were completed in the spring of 2019.

At the beginning of 2022, the next major renovation of the entrance level of the Herrgård took place, which includes the hotel reception, bar, and lounges.

For the 2024 season, our new clubhouse was inaugurated with a welcoming entrance, a larger golf shop & a completely renovated Bistro. The new glass veranda "Sigvards Veranda" accommodates 60 additional seats and offers a view over the putting green, and can also be used for "private dining" or meeting rooms. From the glass veranda and the restaurant, there is direct access to the new terrace, which will be the 19th hole. The "back-of-the-house" features a brand new kitchen with larger refrigeration and freezer units, as well as storage, waste room with recycling, and a new delivery entrance.

Here, we are building for the future with a focus on being able to work even more sustainably.

A common thread throughout the entire facility

Per Öberg Arkitekt AB was entrusted to continue developing Hooks Herrgård after successful efforts in both the spa, as well as the restaurant, kitchen, and the hotel rooms of Herrgården.

Per Öberg, at Per Öberg Arkitekt AB, about the projects:

"It is said that you never get a second chance to make a first impression. That’s why we want it to be a completely new experience to enter the manor.

The guest should feel warmly welcomed with an opened entrance featuring new wrought iron glass doors and a hall with a welcoming fire. An elegant reception and a bar that is always open. The bar will be the hub of the entrance floor and opens up to both the hall and the large salon.

The hall, reception, and bar have retained the exposed log walls and brown-stained doors that mark a later growth ring in Hooks Herrgård's history.

The clan-patterned carpets in the bar and reception - that once existed - tell of Hook as a golf club of distinction.

We want to restore the main building of the manor to its original glory from the 1770s. We have chosen a colorful Rococo-inspired color scheme, but at the same time want to convey a feeling of a contemporary home in a manor environment."
